1. Configure your IP Telephony Provider

To enable missed call recovery, you need to connect your phone system with Alex Reservations.

This is done using an IP telephony provider (such as Zadarma or similar) that supports webhooks.

You will configure:

  • Your phone number
  • The webhook URL provided by the plugin
  • The voice message that will be played on missed calls

The voice message informs the customer that they will receive a WhatsApp to complete the reservation.

This step is critical because it connects your phone system with the automation flow.


2. Test the full flow

Once configured, you can test the complete experience from the customer’s perspective.

In this test:

  1. A call is made to the restaurant
  2. The call is not answered
  3. The voice message is played
  4. A WhatsApp message is sent automatically
  5. The customer opens the booking link
  6. The reservation is completed
  7. The booking appears in the reservations dashboard

This shows the full end-to-end recovery process.
