AlexReservations includes a powerful Automations module that helps restaurants save time, reduce manual work, and improve customer engagement. Automations handle routine reservation tasks automatically, ensuring smoother operations and a better guest experience.

1. Payment Reminder

If a customer starts a reservation but does not complete the payment, the system will automatically send them a payment reminder. This reminder includes a direct link to their pending booking, encouraging them to finalize the process and recover the reservation.

2. Payment Cancel

When a reservation remains in pending payment status for too long, the system automatically cancels it. The customer receives a notification that their reservation was not completed, keeping your booking calendar clean and accurate.

3. Auto No-Show

If a confirmed reservation does not change to seated status within a reasonable timeframe, the system assumes the guest did not arrive. The booking is automatically marked as no-show, and the customer is notified.

Additionally, the customer can be automatically tagged as a no-show to help identify unreliable guests in future bookings.

4. Auto Finish

When a reservation is not manually marked as finished after a certain time, the system automatically updates its status. This ensures proper closure of the booking cycle and enables follow-up automations like review requests.

5. Ask for a Review

After a reservation is marked as finished, the system can automatically send a review request email to the customer.

  • You can configure the timing of the request (e.g., hours or days after the visit).
  • Based on the star rating, the system can either:
    • Redirect the customer to leave a public Google Review.
    • Keep lower ratings as internal feedback to help improve your service.
