Email Tracking
The system tracks three key emails sent to customers throughout their reservation journey, allowing you to monitor whether customers have received and opened their booking communications.

Email Types and Status Indicators
Three types of emails are tracked:
- Pending Reservation Email: Initial booking request
- Confirmed Reservation Email: Booking confirmation
- Finished Reservation Email: Post-dining follow-up
Visual Indicators
The system provides two ways to monitor email status:
List View with Circle Indicators:
- On the left side of each booking, you'll see three circles that correspond to each email type
- Green circle: Email has been opened
- Red circle: Email has not been opened
- No circle: Email not yet sent
Edit Booking List Notifications:
- Shows a comprehensive list of all emails sent
- Displays the exact time and date when emails were opened
- Indicates how many times an email was opened
Usage for Customer Follow-up
If you notice that a confirmation email hasn't been opened, this could indicate:
- The email may have been caught in spam filters
- The customer may have provided an incorrect email address
- The customer may have missed the email
In such cases, it's recommended to:
- Call the customer to confirm their reservation verbally
- Verify the email address on file
- Ask them to check their spam folder
- Resend the confirmation if necessary
Email Status Messages
The system displays various status messages including:
- "Not opened yet" - for unread emails
- "Opened (X times)" - showing the number of times an email was accessed
- "Last opened: [Date and Time]" - indicating the most recent view
Benefits
This tracking system helps:
- Ensure customers are aware of their reservation status
- Reduce no-shows through better communication
- Identify potential delivery issues early
- Improve customer service through proactive follow-up
By monitoring email engagement, restaurant staff can take proactive steps to ensure all reservations are properly confirmed and reduce the likelihood of miscommunication or missed bookings.
