Welcome! I'm thrilled to introduce you to the new SMS functionality we've integrated into Alex Reservations plugin.

SMS notifications

In order to begin sending SMS messages, you'll need to create an account with Twilio. This will enable customers to receive convenient SMS notifications regarding their booking status - whether it's Confirmed, Pending, or otherwise. Furthermore, you have the option to customize these SMS messages according to your preference from your settings.

To enable SMS notifications for customers, there are two fields that need to be activated in the widget: the phone field and the opt-in field for accepting SMS messages.

In conjunction with email reminders, you now have the option to set up multiple SMS reminders for your customers. A suitable strategy could be to send the initial reminder 24 hours prior, followed by a second alert 2 hours before the reservation time.
